Best Reads of 2013

Maybe I'm just super nerdy, but I love to read.  Any time a school break rolls around, you can probably find me reading up a storm.  I don't get much time to read during the school year, so I have to squeeze it all in when I don't have classes.  If you're ever wondering what I'm reading (or what I want to read), you can check out my Goodreads account!

I don't read a specific genre, per se, so I surf through Goodreads and blog posts to find suggestions of what to read next.  Plus, my sister works at a publisher, so she sometimes suggests a book I might like.  In 2013, my top four favorite books were The Yonahlossee Riding Camp For Girls, Lean In, Wild, and Julie & Julia.

What are the best books you read last year?

  1. Have you read the Divergent series? Those three are wonderful! I definitely want to read The Yonahlossee Riding Camp For Girls. I love books that are based in NC, but I'm about burned out on Nicholas Sparks (:

  2. thanks for the suggestions, I'm always looking for new reads for the subway

  3. I want to read Wild so bad. It has been on so many peoples best reads list and I am dying to try it out.

  4. Ah! I loved loved LOVED "Wild." It took some time getting INTO it at first, but gosh, it was sooo good. Immediately, I wanted to go on a long hike hahaha.

  5. The Yonahlossee Riding Camp For Girls sounds really intriguing - definitely going to have to give that one a read! In the summer I read the Temperance Brennan series by Kathy Reichs - that was really awesome, a tad graphic and creepy but I don't mind that! My other favourite was The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling) which I really really enjoyed :)

  6. I read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathon Safran Foer, a must read!
