I used to kind of dread fall.  The change in weather, the lack of day light after school, and the increase in the amount of school work and activities just drove me insane.

But this year, I'm taking a different approach to the weather change.  I'm embracing it.  I'm probably adding way too many new sweaters to my wardrobe.  I'm using the increase in school work as a motivator to study more.  But with that, I'm using the mantra "work hard, play hard."  I work hard during the week, spending hours upon hours in the library or nestled at my desk.  But when it comes to the weekends, I'm using them to live.  I'm taking spontaneous trips home.  I'm heading to Richmond to celebrate with Julia.  I'm planning winter break trips to Denver to visit Bess.  And most of all, I'm enjoying all of the little things like orange leaves on the walkway to my dorm building, being able to crack my window to let some fresh air into my room, and the weather allowing for a warm tea or coffee in the morning.
