Photo Diary: Pound The Hill, DC

If you follow me on instagram or twitter, you'll know that I traveled to Washington, D.C., at the end of last week to attend Americans For The Arts, Arts Advocacy Day.  The trip was also a for-credit course in my college's arts management program.  The first three days of the trip were filled with sight seeing, museums, and concerts, while the last two days were the conference and lobbying on The Hill.

On the first full day we were in D.C., my professor took us to Eastern Market to explore and have breakfast.  My friend Suri and I are were in desperate need of some caffeine to sustain us for the long day ahead.  When my professor mentioned that there was a coffee shop not far from the Market that served nutella lattes, we knew that was the place we had to find.  A quick google search led us straight to Pound The Hill on Pennsylvania Ave SE...just three or four blocks from Eastern Market.

Needless to say, the latte was amazing.  It was the perfect combination of sweet nutella and tart coffee.  In fact, the latte was a lot less sweet than I had imagined.  It's probably a good thing I don't live anywhere close to Pound The Hill because I would want to have a nutella latte was more than humanly necessary.

Also, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but I've gotten back into photography.  In high school, I always had my camera with me to capture the things happening around me.  Once I came to college, I didn't leave campus very often, so there was rarely anything new to photograph.  I'm making an effort this semester to bring my camera out more often.  I hope you don't mind these photo diaries, but they're a great way for me to remember my various trips and for y'all to see what I'm up to!
