rosam quae meruit ferat

"She who has earned the rose may bear it"

I did it!

(special holla to this sweet gal who drove all the way from Richmond just to see me graduate! Love you to pieces Julia!)

It's hard to believe these past four years have passed so quickly.  A lot has changed over the past several years, but most significantly, four years ago I was a shy college freshman, and on Saturday, I graduated from Sweet Briar as a thinker, a learner, a questioner, and a leader.

I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, a minor in Latin American Studies, and a certificate in Arts Management.  I was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa and Sigma Delta Pi, and was awarded The W. Edward Overly Award for excellence in Spanish.

Sweet Briar, it's been real, but I'm ready to see what's out there in this big world.  I'll be back with more about graduation and my four years at Sweet Briar, but for now I'm going to catch up on reading all of the books I've been hoarding the past four years and haven't had time to read.

  1. Congratulations on graduating Rebecca! You look absolutely stunning and I know this next chapter of your life will bring you luck, happiness and great opportunities!

  2. Congrats, Rebecca! I can't wait to see what the future holds for you!

  3. Congratulations!! Proud of you, your hard work has paid off. :) Man y'all got those diplomas quickly. We had to stop by our school like a month after graduation to get ours.

  4. Congrats! I just graduated too! Your pictures turned out way better than mine. Jelly! Love your blog!
